Platform Launch & First Cohort
Launched the Akili za Kesho platform and enrolled our inaugural internship cohort, bringing together students from across East Africa for the first time. The programme featured 8 tracks and produced 12 community-impact projects in its first cycle.
Robotics Championships & Expansion
Hosted our first national Robotics Championships, attracting over 200 student participants and securing partnerships with 5 international organisations. Expanded the platform to support secondary schools and international institutions.
17-Track Programme & AI Integration
Scaled to 17 specialised tracks including Machine Learning & AI, IoT Programming, and Grants Writing. Integrated Cisco Academy certification into the curriculum and launched VR simulation labs, giving students access to world-class virtual environments.
4IR Internship Cohort & Regional Recognition
Launched the 2026 4IR Future-Ready Internship Cohort, our most ambitious programme yet with 17 tracks, hybrid delivery across East Africa, and direct pathways to investor networks and employment. Recognised by the US Africa Collaborative as a model innovation programme.
